Samsung Global Goals

The Samsung Global Goals app provides a platform for users to engage with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through the app, individuals can discover information about the 17 Global Goals, learn how to contribute to them, and participate in initiatives aimed at making a positive impact. A distinctive aspect of the app is its mechanism for users to earn money for donations by viewing advertisements displayed on their smartphone and Wear OS smartwatch, which can then be directed to a chosen Global Goal.

Understanding the Global Goals

The app allows users to gain insights into the 17 Sustainable Development Goals through various interactive content, including wallpapers and informative articles. This feature helps to deepen understanding of the global issues the SDGs address. Educational resources, inspiring stories, and expert advice are also accessible to further inform users about the goals and encourage broader engagement.

Contributing to Global Goals

Users can get involved in campaigns, challenges, and initiatives designed to address specific global issues. The app supports tracking personal contributions and progress, offering a view of both individual impact and the collective efforts of the Samsung Global Goals community. A key method of contribution involves generating funds for donations: by using the app on a smartphone and smartwatch, users will see wallpapers and ads, and the revenue generated from these ads is then allocated for donations to support the Global Goals. Users can then direct these earned funds to their preferred Goal.

Wear OS Integration

The app extends its functionality to Wear OS smartwatches, enabling users to discover, learn, and contribute directly from their wrist. This integration includes access to various Samsung Galaxy watch faces, a dedicated watch app, and complication features, expanding the user experience beyond the smartphone.

Recent Enhancements

The latest version, 3.7.00.7, includes subtle improvements and refinements aimed at delivering a smoother experience. Overall performance has also been enhanced to improve the app’s reliability.
